See sundis tegema muud.

Avasin arvutis nende kliendikeskkonna. Tutkit, ma ei näe vastuseid. Null.

Martalt.

“Marta vastas, kallis. Ta üritab kõik ajad ettepoole tõmmata.”

But those antibiotics didn’t work

And yet, during that time, I went to show myself at the hospital twice because something had clearly gotten worse… So what happened? For some completely inexplicable reason, the original “surprise egg” spot on my breast became redder. Everything hurt, it was hot.

Thanks to my friend, who connected me with Dr. Marta, the radiologist, I was able to go back to the radiology department that Monday. The women looked at my breast and said that this can happen after a biopsy. I was told to take painkillers and, if it got worse, to go to the ER.

So I went home and took paracetamol, since I wasn’t allowed to take ibuprofen – my blood had become too thin, and it was better to avoid it just in case.

Then Thursday arrived, and the situation with my breast hadn’t improved at all. In fact, it had gotten worse. The pain and redness had increased, and I noticed the skin on my breast had become “veiny.” It looked like orange peel. In the lower part of my breast, I saw a proper “network of rivers.” At least that’s what I call it myself.

I called the emergency helpline of a private clinic, and after pouring out my whole story, a healthcare worker booked me into the ER at the nearest hospital in their network.

When I arrived and stood in front of the triage nurse, I didn’t even know how to describe my condition. So I just lifted up my shirt. Her face was half-shocked. I did the same to the doctor who admitted me. Because really – what’s the point of a long explanation? It’s best just to show.

I told the doctor that my armpit was also sore and tender. She looked, sighed, thought for a moment, touched the area, and prescribed two different painkillers and antibiotics.
“Let’s hope this works,” she said.

Spoiler: it didn’t.
Zero effect.
That’s why I decided to stop taking the antibiotics. Why take them if they’re not helping?
I don’t even know if that was the right thing to do.

I rested a lot and waited impatiently for the biopsy results. They finally came in on Monday – right before a major power outage. Which meant, unfortunately, that the results didn’t make it into my client portal, and I couldn’t see them.

You can imagine what was going on in my head. I knew the results were in, but I couldn’t access them. Just couldn’t see them.

Then mobile signal went out, too. So there I was – left in the dark, both literally and mentally.

The only “productive” thing I did workwise that day was give an interview to Geenius.
I talked, I laughed – even though I had such intense pressure inside me, I probably could’ve powered all of Cascais with it.

And yet, in a strange way, I actually enjoyed that powerless, signal-free state. It forced me to do something else. It forced me to clear my head and just be – with myself, with my family.

I even joked around with the guys from the motorcycle shop downstairs. Yes, we have a little moto-shop in our house. The owner and workers are all super nice. I joked that if this blackout goes on much longer, they should just come grill in our backyard. That time was priceless. I’ll never forget it.

Around 9:30 PM, the electricity finally came back. One of the first things I did? I opened the Luz app (that’s the private hospital I go to). I also logged into their client portal on my computer.
Nope. Still no results. Nothing.

Next morning? Same thing. I couldn’t see them – but I knew they were there. So I asked Gerda if she could check with Dr. Marta.

She replied, “Marta answered, darling. She’s trying to move all the appointments forward.”
